Lakefront homes?

I've been looking at lakefront homes for a while. I looked at homes around Lake Ozark, Flathead Lake, Lake Placid and Lake Austin. Are there any other lakes with magnifecent homes? I would love a lakefront home with acreage and close to the town, yet far enough to travel by boat/car. Thank you.
