Where can I find detailed doentation of reason race riots in the United States?

In 2006, as a repercussion of earlier prison race riots that had taken place, many high schools in Los Angeles and the surrounding areas experienced race riots of their own. I was a student at John C. Fremont when one of these riots occurred. I’m interested in finding doentation of this riot, but am unable to find much information. I was hoping that someone could point me in the right direction. This riot occurred March 26, 2006 or maybe even earlier. Thank you in advance.
