I can't stand my sister's boyfriend. How should I deal with this?

The guy is a total schmuck, plain and simple. For some reason, though, my sister doesn't see it and isn't responsive to my criticism. Unfortunately, it seems possible that they're in it for the long haul. If I have to be around him and deal with him, what are some things I can do to ease my animosity and at least make the situation tolerable?
