What was your labor and delivery story?

I went into labor at 27w5d. My water broke, and I was at home. We went to the hospital, to be moved to a bigger hospital with a NICU. They stopped my labor twice, I believe mainly just to get the steroids in my babys system. I'm not sure why they didn't keep stopping it, perhaps that's bad for the baby? I honestly didn't ask at the time, everything seemed to be happening so fast! I gave birth to my daughter almost 4 days later, at 28w2d. She was born at 12:22AM and I believe my labor started around 2PM the day before. She weighed 2lbs even, 14.5 inches long! Spent 91 days in the NICU. She is now 7 months old and weighs 13lbs 10oz!! She is getting so big!

Toddlers foot turned outwards???

My daughter just turned 2. She was a late walker (started at 18 months). Her left foot turns out(not alot, but enough to be noticed) and is bowed at the ankle. It looks like it can break @ anytime. It's not causing her any pain. I was concerned when she started walking and asked my dr. She said is was "ducked" and she should grow out of it. I'm concerned it's something more serious. It's been almost 7 months. She can't run that good and waddles when she runs or walks. I'm wondering if she needs a brace. Did anyone else have this problem and how did you fix it? How can i stop my kitten "begging" for food?

he is still too young to stop the night feedings. you are only suppoesed to stop if A. the baby does not wake for a feeding at the age he is now( it would be different if a younger baby) or B he is about 9 months then you can stop the feedings. so still continue to feed him the night feedings and eventually he will grow out of it and sleep the whole night and at around the 9 month check up if he still is having a bottle in the middle of the night your babys dr will help you figure it out

I woke up today and needed to go to the bathroom, at first i tried to pee and it started to hurt in my lower stomach and right above the bladder. When i peed there wwas no blood and it hurt. then i got to school and peed again and didnt nearly have the same pain but some burning sensation occured in the penal area and lower stomach. ive noticed today that i get pains right above my and in the lower stomach. Frequent Convulsions?

I have a burning question about what's going on with my body, any insight would be very much appreciated. I suffer from frequent convulsions throughout the day, while they are not long lasting, they are violent. They are similar to typical "cold chills" but much more violent with very sporadic movements. My shoulders and arms fly out and contract sometimes like they aren't part of my body, and usually feel like I'm pulled heavily to one side and forward. They have been rough enough to throw me onto the floor from a sitting position, and they tend to be localized in my upper body and occasionally my right leg. I have never lost full consciousness, but every once in a while I feel really dazed afterwards, and the the convulsions to my knowledge have never lasted more than what seems 2 full seconds. And I can typically feel them coming on a millisecond or two before it happens, almost like an aura. I know they are not cold chills, because I'm hardly ever cold, and it never happens when I am. I'm so confused, and this has only begun happening about 6 months ago. I range from 4 or 5 to upwards of 20 convulsions per day, and I would love to know what's going on. Any advice at all is appreciated. Thanks.

Don't mess with detox. It is never a good idea after chemotherapy and radiation. The best think for your mom is to eat a healthy diet (as best as she is able) and to rest as much as possible. It took me about 6 months to start feeling like my old self again after I completed treatment.

Pelvic pain during pregnancy?

I have a friend I have taken to understand, he used to attaend church and always had issues, since he was 10 he has always thought he was a paedophile because he has bad memories of his father playing around with him as they used to sleep in the same bed, being such a young age he thought this was bad and never told anyone as he thought he'd get in trouble, as the years went on he'd knew if he said anything no one would believe him, he tried to forget, but religion got in the way, he has been manic for years thinking government forces were after him uming the television he watched refelected what went on in the world, he constantly felt god was telling him to get himself in trouble, together with his mania he thought goevrnment forces were aware that he was getting himself in toruble as a means to justice, however as he grew and realise his own problems in the onset of the real world, he felt he ought to incriminate himself as to be accountable, he tried doing this mistakening normal teen as paedophilia and umed always the governemnt would arrest him, he got manic and suffered extreame anxiaty, as he grew older to his early twenties he felt he had to emulate what he read in the news to incriminate himself so as to be accountable and begin afresh at this point god was still afactor, as he got older and realised the horror of what he did he (trying to incriminate himself with internet and displaying erratic behaviours so as to get noticed by these supposed government and alian forces), he eventually turned himself into the police with a statement he felt was honestly making himself accountable, he has since been convicted of holding 13 indecent images of chilkdren ranginf from 12 to 14 years of age, this has helped his mania to some degree about his child hood and help him remeber alot but he faces people disbelieving his past and hating him for it, I know for a fact as I grew up with him, he is not remotely attracted nor does he seek underage chikdren, he has never hurt anyone and in not in the context of what is considered dangerous (as in children kidnapped to prroduce films) rather he gathered the images from normal sites where the images were just based on an opinion of age as in air brushed pictures. he is better now, stronger and the only time he has felt normal in his life in now, but is now hindered by his past, in the last three years he has sought to build his intelligence of the world and his surroundings and is different now than he used to be, he is not the typical paedophile type you read about and has never envisiged it as such nor is he phychologically like them as his research has shown. My daughter chews on her sleeves, how can I help her stop doing this?

I have been very patient with my daughter over this matter. She is 5 years old. I remind her gently every time I catch her to stop chewing on her sleeves. She chews so much that her sleeve will be soaked from wrist to elbow, or the entire front of her shirt will be soaked. I have tried rolling her sleeves up, then she chews the collar. I have gum on hand for her to chew instead of her clothing. I have even sunk as low as bribery (if she didn't chew on her clothes for 7 days in a row then she would get what she'd been asking for). We have had to toss a couple of shirts because she chewed holes into them. She has even chewed the corners of blankets. Any thoughts or other ideas? I've asked her why she does it, and she doesn't know. I really think it is not a conscious thing. She will do it while watching a show, or playing a game, or reading a book. I just don't want to throw away any more clothes.

Friendless and Lonely, how to get out of this situation? ?

I am 17 years old, and a 13 year old probably experienced more than me. All I did this summer was go to work and go home to sleep. I am dieing to hang out with people and basically do something social. I basically have no close friends anymore and when I did they where the type that didn't do anything. I am tired of listening to my co-workers complain about there boy and girlfriends, talk about their plans for the night. I am tired of them texting and getting phone calls from there friends. All the phone calls i get is from my family asking when to pick me up. I am very nice and it seems like people like me, but it never seems like they want to hang out with me outside of work. When I come back to my last year of high school, I have nothing to look forward to. No friends or even crushes. I never had a girl friend in high school. Too many showers/dates?

You can make pinhole camera out of anything a black film canaster, suitcase, paint can whatever you have around your place. spray it black on the inside. For the hole which will be your shutter you need to use a small needle and you want the hole to be very small, u just press the needle but don't push it through, kinda a little prick.. you can check by going into a dark room look through the hole and see how much light you see, or test with a hallway light on and go in another room and see how much light comes in. Make sure after you have ilford paper in the container or shoe box use some black tape to cover the until you want to expose it. 40 -60 seconds isn't much time, if your doing a self- portrait it needs to be a a few minutes and you have to be really still. Something outside on a sunny day would work great but if it's cloudy you will need to expose double that amount! There isn't a measurement just use a small sewing needle and it work for you! hope this helps!

Running vs stair-stepper/eliptical?

When the weather is nice, I run outside on a regular basis, but since it's been cold up here in Wisconsin the past few months, I have to do my workouts indoors. I don't like using treadmills, so I workout on the stairstepper. I set the machine to a vigorous level, go for 30 minutes, at least 4 miles, and burn at least 400 cals each workout. I was wondering if it is easier to do 4 miles in 30 minutes on a stair-stepper or running outside. I just want to know if when I start running again, I will actually be faster, or if I will just run like I did before.

Ok, we have a 1987 19' Bayliner. Evenrude 150hp engine. This weekend we put a new fuel pump on it. Once it started up, which by the way, happened beautifully and it sounded great, we couldn't shut it off. And before you ask, we actually took the key out of the ignition and the lanyard as well... still it purrs like a kitten. The only way we can shut it off is to take to hood off the engine and use the choke to kill it. Anyone have any clue as to what can be causing this? It wasn't doing this before we put the new fuel pump on.

Something is wrong with my left arm. What is it?

If you want to teach at the college level, you'd need at least a masters degree (for 2-year colleges) and a PhD for 4-year colleges or universities. Those jobs are very hard to get; there are far more PhDs who want to teach than there are jobs for them. Teaching history in high school is a more reasonable goal. There's very little you can do in science that doesn't require math. Law enforcement might be a good choice.

Help With Planning 5 Year Old Girl's Birthday Party?

My niece is turning 5 in early April and I am helping my sister plan her birthday party (co-ed with a few more girls than boys). It is being held in a picnic pavilion at a local park, and my niece wants a Rapunzel party (from the Disney movie Tangled). Why are my goldfish resting on the tank floor?

I have 6 goldfish and a white cloud minnow in my fish tank. Ive noticed that for the last few months they will go and rest at the bottom of the fish tank untill I disturb them by going near to the tank or turning the light on/off. Before anyone suggests it, the tank is big enough for them. I have had a look over them and there is no clear sign of disease (finrot, fungal infection, white spot etc) The only problem I have had is abit of fin nipping but when I noticed this I put some aquarium salt in the tank and then a few days later some anti fin rot - fungus medicine in to prevent the fin from becoming poorly. They are feeding normally (practically snatching the food from my hand lol) and the water is clear and clean as I have a good filter. The PH level is normal and there is an air stone going so there is plenty of oxygen. Are they just resting or is there a problem I need to be aware of? When there not resting they seem feisty enough?

i went to the allergist to get tested for things ive been reacting to and milk was one of them, i get very sick and puke or get a stomach ache depending on how much i ate of milk products. they said that i wasnt allergic but just might be lactose intollerant so i tried using lactates (2 per meal) and i still get sick..what the hell is wrong with me bc ive been like this since april and its torture!! and why the heck would it just pop up outta nowhere?

Dogs has hacking cough that sounds like something stuck in his throat, what can I do about it?

8 weeks ago we took in a 12 y/o rott from these people who lost their home. We had a vet come to the house a few weeks ago for a check up & get him up-to-date on shots. About 5 days ago he got a hacking cough, like something stuck in his throat. The vet has him on matacam & tramadol (because of his age & severe hip dysplasia it's now just about keeping him comfortable). Is there anything I can do about the cough? Having the vet come over is not an option, we are already paying for all his meds (inc. Heartgard & Frontline) & food with no help from the owners and the owners cannot pay for a vet visit (they have not had him to the vet in 4 years and we paid for the house call). Other than coughing he's eating & drinking normal and seems content, even his stubby little tail still wags when he sees me.

Alright, I do not want to sound arrogant or anything but I was just told I am ineligible to attend a UC because I received a "d" my senior year. I think this is very unjust because I graduated with a 4.0, scored in the 97th percentile on my SATs, have over 175 hours of community service, and have multiple years of studio art. I got into UCLA but was rescinded because I did not meet their GPA requirement. I maintained a 3.5 weighted GPA that year. Now I am applying to another UC and they told me I am ineligible because of one D, in an elective cl! I am amazed at how one grade can overshadow a 4.0 ulative GPA and make me ineligible when I have friends who received one D also, but weren't rescinded and are now at Berkeley. HELP TAMING MY ATIEL?

so 5 days ago I went to the store and got myself 1 atiel and named it Coco.... it was only 2 months old so i thought it would be pretty easy to tame... so ever since i got it i started doing reasearch and it said that u sould leave ur atiel alone for a couple of days and be around it so it can get used to you.... so everyday i would come home from school, change the food and water, clean the droppings and the cage, and sit down and do my homework next to it and use the computer.... i would be around it for at least 2 hours a day.... so one day i decided to try and put my aitel on my finger but it tried to bite me... it doesnt really know what biting is cuzz it was handfed but i know it tried to..... and i have tried and tried to make it come to me but it hasnt.... what can i do to make him come to me... ive also tried giving it snacks and millet and veggies(which it loves) but still no luck..... PS. i dont think this is really important but when we first got it my dad grabbed him out of the cage to play with him even tho the bird didnt want to.... could this have scarred the bird for life or something???? Its not a gymnastics move at all. Its called an illusion and is usually paired with a toss, respectively called a toss illusion. I cheer and can also do a full and I can tell you that those skills will not help you at all in doing an illusion. Illusions are ALL flexibility. When i was younger I twirled for a number of years and eventually learned an illusion but it took a lot of stretching. If you have good flexibility, which im guessing you do since you cheer, then this shouldnt be hard to master!
